Hannah Moshtael is an illustrator specialising in children's picture books and editorial illustration
Hannah is based in Oxford, UK, and grew up in the rainy and creative city of Glasgow. She is a world citizen with family and community connections ranging from the sunny Isle of Wight to Iran.
Hannah's work is inspired by the Teachings of Bahá'u'lláh, Who called for peace, justice and unity, stating:
"Let your vision be world embracing..."
Hannah completed an MA in English and French at the University of St Andrews, followed by a PGCert in Social Justice and Community Action at the University of Edinburgh, and most recently graduated from the MA in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. She is currently a sailor on The Good Ship Illustration.
The way Hannah makes images is like growing a wild colourful garden of different textures and shapes.  She draws what she sees and remembers, from everyday life, memories and dreams.  Then she uses printmaking, collage and whichever creative materials are close at hand, to make the drawings come alive.
