Hannah Moshtael illustrates editorial pieces and designs posters, leaflets, logos and surface patterns. She also records meetings and events visually through sketchnoting. She has a special interest in children's picture books.
Hannah grew up in the rainy and creative city of Glasgow, UK, with her family roots in the sunny Isle of Wight where tomatoes grow.
Before going to Cambridge School of Art, she studied English and French at the University of St Andrews, and Social Justice and Community Action at the University of Edinburgh. There she learned about speaking with words. The MA in Children’s Book Illustration set her on a journey towards speaking with pictures.
The way Hannah makes images is like growing a wild coLourfuL garden of different textures and shapes. She draws what she sees and remembers, from everyday life, memories and dreams. Then she uses printmaking and collage to make the drawings come alive.
